Your 5 Supplimental Super Hero Sidekicks...
Get the most out of your training by fueling your body with these five suppliments:
Whey
Whey is a quick-digesting protein that should be consumed within an hour after your last set.
Casein
Slow-digesting casein protein is a good option before hitting the sack.
Creatine
Creatine provides the body with energy and translates to muscle growth and improved athletic performance.
Fish Oil
Rich in omega-3s which makes it absolutely one of the best supplements that everyone should take.
Multi-vitamins
If your diet isn’t as spot on as it should be, multivitamins can fill in nutritional gaps created from poor food choices.
Essentials For A Home Workout
by Andrew Hall
We understand that balancing a family, job and school doesn’t always leave time for a gym membership. That’s no excuse not to achieve the body you want. There are many pieces of equipment you can incorporate into your home workout, but here are a few essentials you can get started with;
Exercise Mat
For exercises that require you to be on your stomach, back or knees a good all-purpose exercise mat 1/4 – 1/2 inch thick will provide enough cushion to make your workout comfortable.
Jump Rope
Jumping rope is a great way to burn a lot of calories in just a few minutes. We recommend a Speed Rope. They are great for indoor use and the thin vinyl cord allows for the highest number of turns per minute.
Dumbbells
Start with a pair or two, one moderately light and one moderately heavy (depending on your individual strength). The number of strength building exercises you can perform with these are far too many to list.
Kettlebells
An extremely functional piece of equipment, great for core strength training as well as cardio workouts. Add a couple of these to your home gym arsenal.
Ab Wheel
An inexpensive tool that’s effective for strengthening your core muscles. Start with the basic moves and progress to more advanced workouts as you develop your core.
Chair
You should probably already have one of these at home. A sturdy chair with a straight back can be incorporated into your dumbbell routines as well as cardio where it can be used as a step up.
